Graduation plans are finalized

The Chesterfield County School District announced the graduation ceremony of the four county high schools will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 29, in each respective high school football stadium. The inclement weather date will be 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 30.

In the event there is inclement weather on both mornings, there will be a “drive up” graduation at each school beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30.  

Anyone who is exhibiting any signs of illness or identified by the Center for Disease Control as part of a high-risk population should not attend. 

Graduating seniors will be limited to four guest tickets. Seating will maintain the recommended six feet between attendees. Graduates’ guests will be seated together, and seats will be clearly marked. Only guests with tickets will be allowed on campus. 

Attendees will also maintain at least six feet of separation and wear face masks. Entrances will be marked to ensure appropriate spacing.
Attendees must wear a face mask and sanitize their hands. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be available on campus.
