Jefferson enacts changes

All recreation department activities have been canceled, but parks and playgrounds remain open for individual use.

The community center is closed. Those with reservations for an event can get their deposits refunded.

Town Hall remains staffed but closed to the public. Anyone paying a utility bill, business license or fine is asked to pay by mail or use the drop box outside town hall.

Requests for new service can be made by calling (843) 658-7600, through mail or email.

Water service will not be disconnected for non-payment during this emergency, but customers will still be responsible for their bill.

Municipal court operations are postponed until further notice.

Regularly scheduled town council meetings are postponed until the state of emergency is lifted.
