Deputy injured in wreck

A deputy with the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office was seriously injured in a single-vehicle wreck earlier this evening during a car chase that occurred in the Ruby area.

The deputy was conscious on scene and has since been air lifted to a hospital in Columbia. 

Sheriff James “JD” Dixon asks for prayers for the deputy as well as the department during this time.
