Robbery at Cheraw Dollar General

The Cheraw Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying and locating a man suspected of robbing the Dollar General store located at 522 Chesterfield Highway in Cheraw.

The robbery occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. this evening. The suspect made it appear he wanted to purchase an item from the store. When the cashier opened the register, the suspect used force and intimidation to remove money from the register and then fled the scene.

The man is a black male, 5’ 5” to 5’ 10” tall, weighing approximately 145-175 pounds, 30-40 years old. He was wearing a blue shirt, a baseball style hat and blue jeans when he entered the store.
