Judge denies Odom’s appeal of McBee election decision

Judge Roger Henderson in a Court of Common Pleas order has denied McBee Town Council candidate Glenn Odom’s appeal of the McBee Municipal Election Commission’s decision to order a new town election.

At issue was Odom’s contention that the ballots of four voters, who testified under oath they voted for Odom, should be counted, which would have made him the second highest vote-getter and thus elected to the second of two contended seats in the Sept. 4 election.

Pending Odom’s appeal of Henderson’s decision to a higher court, the McBee MEC is expected to set a date for the new election.
